Mr Sean Chua is a very effective Chemistry tutor and under his guidance, my son’s interest and understanding for the subject has grown in leaps and bounds. Sean is very enthusiastic in teaching. He makes Chemistry learning interesting and is able to maintain the intriguing level with the students. The kids have learnt a lot from him and are more confident with Chemistry now. They have done well in the subject and look forward to attend his lessons every week.

Chem had always been my weak subject ever since Sec 3. My foundations in the subject were weak which made it difficult to quickly grasp the new concepts taught at the JC level. As such, I really struggled with getting good grades in JC. I received an S grade in the mid-year exams followed by an E grade in the promotional exams.

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I decided to join classes at Winners education in order to build my confidence in the subject. The chem classes delivered by Mr Chua were very clear and concise. He made even complex concepts simple to understand. His notes would condense the topics into salient points which greatly aided in revision. I managed to clarify my doubts and strengthen my foundations in chem through asking questions throughout the lessons.

It took me approximately 6 months to improve my results and to eventually attain a B grade at the Prelims. I then went on to attain an A grade at A level Chem. I realised that it is never too late to start catching up on things that you do not know and to improve your understanding in a subject. Winners education certainly helped in my journey but I also needed to put in regular hard work to get the results I wanted.

I would recommend Winners to anyone who really wants to improve in Chemistry or Maths and wishes to do so in the fastest possible time. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter how you started or what happened in the middle. What matters is how you end your journey. 🙂

Before I joined, I was struggling with the large amount of content provided by my school, and it was extremely hard to sieve through my school notes to find what is relevant and tested for A’levels. Mr Chua’s lessons are structured and clear to follow, and his notes are extremely concise, which makes Chemistry less daunting. I went from a D in prelims to an A in A’levels. I would recommend Mr Chua’s lessons to any student who is struggling with their basic concepts as he mainly focuses on that!

I have been with Winners Education Centre for three years and I am extremely satisfied with their way of teaching. Before I joined, I struggled with basic concepts, let alone application of those concepts. I was unable to overcome my misconceptions by myself as I did not know the correct way to study Chemistry. I thought Chemistry was a subject you just had to memorise to score A’s. I was getting D’s before I joined and decided to join Winners as the tutor, Mr Chua, seemed very confident and humble about his concepts. He was also the author of the Ten Year Series. I loved Mr Chua’s classes as he always made concepts seem simple and straightforward. His lessons were engaging and taught me the fun in Chemistry. I became more daring and answered more questions as well. I managed to achieve a A in H2 Chemistry after 2 years of JC.

I would recommend this to anyone who is struggling with H2 Chemistry and is looking to clarify all his basic concepts. To all students taking H2 Chemistry, good luck and try your best! Always stick to your basic concepts and do not be afraid to seek help as help is always here for you. What matters is how badly you want to do well.

I hadn’t quite been failing Chemistry before going for Mr Chua’s Organic Chemistry revision workshop but I wasn’t really doing super well either because my content knowledge was all over the place. It gave me a peace of mind and sound revision materials for me to efficiently absorb all that I needed to get an A in H2 Chemistry and full marks for Paper 1! I had attended his classes in secondary school too and gained a love for the subject so thank you Mr Chua!

Although I only joined Winners Education Centre for around a term, Mr Chua has helped me to improve my grasp of chemistry concepts by strengthening my understanding of many basic concepts which helped me to understand more complex ones.

His explanations are very clear and he is always willing to clarify individual doubts during lessons and even through text. Winners Education was first introduced to me by my brother who had attended class there a few years before me.

Before attending class here, I was struggling in school with so many concepts that I could not grasp.

Winners Education is different from many other tuition centres that I have been to because they do not try to beat the schools in teaching content. The teachers at Winners Education focus on ensuring students can understand topics well instead of focusing on just covering topics quickly.

Every lesson was dedicated not so much on content dissemination, but more for asking questions and clarifying doubt. Most importantly, Winners Education always made sure everyone was on the same page and everyone understood fully before continuing with teaching content.

The centre is most suited for students who find it hard to keep up with the pace at school and have not fully grasped their concepts yet. Even though it may seem like content is not being taught as quickly, every lesson is a form of revision for the chapter and students will eventually require less time for final revision at the end of the year.

Winners Education helped me to improve my Chemistry grade until I eventually scored an A in the ‘A’ level examinations.

Mr Chua’s H2 Chemistry lessons are the most interesting lessons I’ve been to. He really helps us to get a good grasps of the concepts in each chapter before moving on. He’s always willing to help us clarify any doubts we may have, even via SMS. He is a truly dedicated and hardworking teacher. I’m glad to say that I’ve benefited greatly from Mr Chua’s lessons.

Comfortable, small classes are good! The lessons have helped me pull up my grades from U to B in my prelim examinations! It helped me hone my fundamentals, something the school never emphasized on. Before I joined Mr Chua’s lessons, H2 Chemistry felt really hard and although I could understand my school’s lectures, I couldn’t seem to apply the knowledge and answer my tutorial or examination questions well. I was scoring Us and Es all the way till around mid J2. Fortunately, after join Mr Chua’s lessons, Mr Chua was able to explain the concepts much more clearer and helped me to understand how I should apply the concepts, helping me to score a B at the A levels. In the months leading up to A levels, Chemistry was a struggle. Grasping content wasn’t the problem, but answering questions using the knowledge acquired was. Mr Chua’s effective pedagogy methods enabled me to develop critical thinking skills by constantly drilling us with new question styles during class. This has helped in allowing me to remain calm when answering what seems to be a challenging question in the examination. In the months leading up to prelims, it was difficult to score well, and i constantly got D grades for chem. After joining a few weeks before prelims, i could feel improvement which led to a better result of a B in the A levels.

This tuition centre has rly helped me out in the last minute lead up to As! Even though I joined in the last month, I was given adequate help and the opportunity to consult Mr Chua for any queries regarding chemistry, both after class and even through PM on WhatsApp. Mr Chua is also rly engaging and enthusiastic in his classes which I really think makes his lessons easier to follow.
